We chose a date, and I truly enjoyed our conversation. Howe is an award winning and NY Times Best Selling author and historian. She praises historians and non-fiction as her foundation of great literature. Every day people inspire the author, which is why she loves historical fiction.
Howe’s latest collaboration was with broadcast journalist Anderson Cooper. They worked on his lineage of “Vanderbilt: The Rise And Fall of An American Dynasty”, and their latest was “Astor: The Rise and Fall of an American Fortune”. Howe herself has two unique lineages to the Salem Witch Trials and piracy, which she covers in her books “The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane”, “Conversion”, and her latest release “A True Account: Hannah Masury’s Sojourn Amongst the Pyrates, Written by Herself”.
In our interview, she also teaches me, the Book Dragon, about the Alamo. Something I thought I knew and didn’t! She also discusses her thoughts on book bans, but then delves deeper into the troubling waters of AI takeover. Come check out our wonderful conversation.
