Meet Rebecca Vincent: Author and Advocate for Deaf Culture

Good afternoon, Fellow Book Dragons! Tune In 9/20 @10am PST for a special interview!

Another Book Dragon has joined the ranks of new author: Rebecca Vincent. I’ve known this young woman since she was a toddler. She’s an avid reader, academic overachiever, and just recently, she earned her Associates Degree prior to graduation from high school as a Salutatorian! She earned the Girl Scout Gold Award for her inclusion-based children’s book of the deaf culture in ‘Silent Superpower’. I can’t describe without tears of joy for this remarkable young woman. I’m so proud of her. She and her siblings are all academic overachievers that have allowed them to take flight, but they come from humble, family roots which grounds them with love. This humble book dragon is now ready for the next flight of academia as a college freshman.

Come learn which books influenced this book dragon, managed her academics from AP to community college courses, the spark behind “Silent Superpower”, navigated the publishing system without breaking a buck, breaking ground for young readers to learn about deaf culture, and is promoting her book to be AR (Accelerated Reading) material.
